I don't know, but I'd like to see it happen.
Better yet, I'd like to see the unwanted fetuses implanted in pro-lifers....then they could be pregnant for 9 months, and they could have it surgically removed at the end, and they could do the parenting.
Let 'em show that they really care about the "babies", instead of just wanting to control women.

Pro-life here. I'm afraid that I seriously destroy ALL stereotypes of those who are pro-life:
1. I'm a woman, and perfectly happy to be one.
2. I've had two miscarriages; the first was when I was only sixteen, and the second was when I was eighteen. I was NOT a Christian, and abortion never crossed my mind, in either case.
3. My husband and I want a child badly. We've been trying for one for three years. If we do not conceive by the end of this year, we are going to look into adoption. I was planning on adopting a couple children or running a foster home whether we had our own or not.
How do you like THAT? Oh, AND I'm not against contraceptives, either.
Edit: "Choice" ends where a new life begins. The "choice" should be made BEFORE someone has sex!

It's a moral and human rights issue. Whether it's wrong or not wrong has nothing to do with my self interest.
The reason people are pro life is because they don't want to take away an innocent human life. To take away another person's life (without just cause) once they come into existence, whether it's painful or not, whether they are aware of it or not, is wrong. Would you want someone to do that to you?
Now when the consequences of doing the right thing start to affect me personally, I may be tempted to do the wrong thing. The greater the consequences, the greater my desire will be to do the wrong thing. But it is still wrong, independant of what I want to do.
The obvious question is, "When does human life begin?" This is the crux of the entire abortion debate.
1) There is no question that the human fetus is human, that is genetically speaking. It's DNA is human DNA.
2)There is no question that it is uniquely human. That is, it's DNA is unique. While a two parts of the mother's body such as her brain cells and liver cells share identical DNA, her fetus' DNA is only related the mother (and the father) but different from both. Therefore it is not part of her body.
3)Your DNA is identical to the DNA of the fetus that was once inside your mother. In fact that fetus was you in a much smaller and less developed form.
4) There is no question that it's alive. A fetus left in it's natural state will grow and develop into a "baby". Sperm and eggs will not. They must get together. A sperm or egg could never be considered a unique human beings because they could combine with any number of eggs or sperms, respectively, to make any number of different unique individuals.
If you are able to detach yourself from the emotion and personal interest of the abortion issue, I think it's very obvious that abortion is wrong.
Only our self-serving desires cause us to lie to ourselves. If I admit that abortion is wrong, then I have to be careful who I have sex with. If somebody gets pregnant, I don't have an easy way out of the situation.
Thanks for the question. I hope I've at least helped you understand the pro life mindset, whether you accept it or not.

I think alot of people would change their views if made to be responsible for all the children born of too young parents, bad parents, parents on drugs, and just plain bad people. Look at the kids of this US of America, what happened to parenting skills, where did all the violence come from. When I was in school, no one every imagined someone bringing weapons to school at ALL!!!! Not in our thought process. I think this says something about the people who raise our kids today. I know you cannot blame every bad kid on his parents, but it used to be, you could tell the difference. Now there are so many bad kids, it is looking like the parents or home life have something to do with it. That is what abortion will stop, unwanted period, unwanted by the women, unwanted by the father, unwanted by society when they grow up and don't combine with society and make it a better place. Look at the number of grandparents who are raising their grand kids, alarming and sad. People should have the choice, unless the pro choice people have the solutions to all these problems. PERIOD!

Right on! I have been saying this for years! Practically all of them would change their tunes.
All of those bleeding hearts that want any pregnant woman or young girl to be forced to bear the child should have to have at least two adopted children in addition to their own, FROM THE UNITED STATES.... and not from the rich sides of town.
Whether or not to have an abortion should be up to the woman who must bear the burden of the pregnancy and all the responsibilities that come with it.

what kind of question is this? Forced to adopt? Ludacris. Killing innocent babies is wrong. How come it is count as murder to kill a unborn child by beating it with a bat but not if a doctor dose? No one should have the choice of anothers life. I would gladly adopt it it meant changing a persons mind about having abortion as I believe many others.

I have asked this question for YEARS. I say if they are so "prolife" let them take an unwanted child and raise it till adulthood. I don't know why they would be so "prolife" they sure don't want to take care of people after they have been born. God forbid they give any kind of help to anyone less fortunate.... BUT then again, according to their "holy bible" thats exactly how they will react to people and that reaction to people is what is supposed to bring the end of time. SO, i guess they truly are "full filling" their holy book.

Doris_38 I am forced to pay for the babies born to unwed moms, and teens...my taxes pay for welfare! That said I still do not support abortion. How can anyone support the murder of a baby? That is exactly what abortion is...murder. Plain and simple, a babies life is terminated and in most cases because their parents were not responsible enough to use birth control.

What's wrong? Did you just coerce your girlfriend into having an abortion or something?
....a better question would be:
How many pro choice to kill would become pro life if only they were forced to perform an abortion?
