There are some Wal-mart stores that don't card people. Everytime I've ever bought a M rated game there they never carded me. If you don't feel like going to a store then go to Walmart.com. You can by any game they have there if you just click on the 'I'm over 18 button' Stupid I know but it works. You don't even need a credit card. All you have to do is go to a store and buy a gift card and you can use the money that you put on it to buy any game you want.

If you're 17, you should have a driver's license. Any reputable video game dealer will ask for it, unfortunately. Personally, I don't see why we should have age restrictions on games based on the ratings of an organization that's not associated with the government. Or age restrictions at all, for that matter, but that's the way American society works today. The only store I've ever been able to get away with not having an ID at is fye, which sells more music than games, and no PC games, but I got Jade Empire when I was 15 there. ^_^

Lots of places ask for id if you look underage when you try to buy a rated M video game. If you don't drive or don't have a learners permit, you can get a state issued id card at the drivers license office.

Yes, to buy ANY M rated game, you must have a proper photo ID that shows you are 17 years of age or older.

Wait another year and get an ID. You'll find that you need it for a lot more than just buying games.

If you look underage, the store has the right to check your ID, heck, if you are buying an M rated game, they have the right to check your ID period.

depends. if you look 13 they should ID you. but it depends on the person.

it takes a little over week to get a state id made. go to the nearest dmv and say you want a state id card. they'll ask for your birth certificate, and maybe your social security card/number. then they'll take your picture, and send it to you in the mail. you'll get it in 10-14 days.
