I believe right now as in where we are in the season of 06 07 the best NBA Player now is Kobe Bryant. The fact that he had 4 straight 50 pt games alone is something that we have not seen in the NBA for a long time. Yeah people say that he is a gunner and a ball hog, but he is carrying the team in the right way as the season comes to an end.
I don't care about his past troubles, as an athlete, he is on top of the NBA right now.

Kobe Bryant. Steve Nash is probably the most overrated player in the history of the NBA. Kobe posterized him; he plays no defense; he's physically weak; and so on.
Nash is simply the NBA's "great white hope"-experiment in order to gain more white viewers. It's disgusting that certain groups in this country lose interest if "one of their own" isn't the best, but that's where we are right now.
