YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME? God help the poor souls. With an attitude like that amongst the soldiers it's no damn wonder the states are losing ground in that land.
It was dirty of them. They had no right to do that to a man in the land they are occupying. The job of the soldiers is to protect the public over there from criminals as well as help them: then they go and turn on the man and his personal, and private property like that? The soldiers can't be wondering why the people are turning against them could they? Not with that kind of action they can't.
It's disheartening.

I don't condone that particular action but how many things are going on that youtube isn't getting footage of? Remember this is a war, we (usa) tried playing by the rules once and look where that got us. Believe me someone from the higher ups will see this and these soldiers who are trying to stay alive will probably get thrown in the brig, especially after all these Rosie O'Donnells and Sean Penns, and all these other liberals get a look see.

So, looting is ok as long as the looter claims to be a taxi driver? As I recall, US troops were criticized for allowing too much looting, not for being too tough on looters.
