Wherever you chose to go, research the weather, population makeup, topography, real estate, etc. All of those things can greatly effect your experiences and job opportunities.

Washington D.C. or Boston, Mass. in my opinion.

Phoenix, AZ -can be dreadfully hot....go there if you like dry heat. AZ is a quickly developing state and there are a lot of new things starting up. Real estate market is still reasonable.

Chicago, IL -can be very hard for a person who has not lived or grown up there. Real estate market is a kicker.

Washington D.C.-reasonable area. Takes some getting used to but the people are generally nice. Real estate market..is ok.

Boston, MA is a pretty diverse place with a lot of old school traditions...good gateway for networking and future opportunities. Real estate market can be a kicker.

I stopped in Phoenix a year ago and it was HOT! If you go there, you will spend a lot of time in air conditioning (on the flip side, the city is very pretty).

Washington, D.C. is one of the centers of everything...all sorts of things to do! Flip side: also a center of crime and housing is costly.

Chicago can be COLD, COLD but I've always heard great things about it (shopping, lifestyle).

Boston might be the nicest mix of everything above.

Good luck!

Washington DC. If you're at all interested in legislation and meeting/networking with the people who are lobbying for better healthcare and research. It'll be a great career opportunity for you in terms of networking alone because there are organizations represented in DC from all over the country.

Chicago- if you are interested in health coverage, because right now the state of Illinois has the best health insurance in the country. They cover all children and most poorer people regardless of status.
