the war is costing us billions upon billions of dollars, yet bush cut taxes(which i would like if he wasn't spending more than any other president in history, increasing the size of the empire).

Would the current supporters of the war still support it if they were personally having to pay for it? (which we all are!)

the cost of the war in iraq is nearly a half trillion dollars now.

my point is why would bush cut taxes when he spends so much on this war? would you be willing to pay an additional tax to pay for the war that is killing so many of our soldiers - seemingly for no reason?

That is the welfare trough that Republicans feed from and then have the audacity to call those that are children, elderly and disabled bums who are lazy!

We all are NOT taxpayers! Like Leona Helmsley said,"Only the little people pay taxes!"

And none of you are currently paying for the war or the other 3 TRILLION that Bush has run up in additional deficit. One-half of our budget goes to the military and INTEREST on the deficit!

You will be the ones screaming however when the bill becomes due!

I not at all supported the conflict in the 1st place. i presumed the full "weapons of mass destruction" element replaced into BS. i think of that the republicans help Bush through fact in addition they have self assurance that we can win the conflict. properly we can win yet at what value. Many lives have been already lost and we can purely lost greater lives and waste greater of the tax payers funds. Republicans additionally are effective , they purely can no longer settle for the actuality that they have got been incorrect approximately Iraq.

You have got to be kidding. Remember they are the party of NO / LOWER taxes (even though everytime the retardlicans get in charge I have to pay higher income taxes every year) so no they would not be supporting it if they had to pay taxes. Besides even if the retardlicans did pass a law for them to have to pay taxes to support the war, it would be the democrats and Clinton's fault.

Essentially, Pelosi and the Dems did raise the cost of war. This pork was tacked on the the military funding:

How much did lieberal plastic Pelosi have to bribe her anti-American lieberals to vote to surrender?

$165.9 million (including $60.4 million for salmon fisheries in the Klamath Basin region) for fisheries disaster relief;

$75 million for salaries and expenses for the Farm Service Agency;

$48 million in disaster construction money for NASA;

$25 million for grants through the Safe and Drug Free Schools program;

$25 million for asbestos abatement at the Capitol Power Plant;

$24 million to sugar beet producers;

$22.8 million for geothermal research and development;

$20 million for reimbursements to Nevada for “insect damage;”

$12 million for Forest Service money requested by the president in the non-emergency FY2008 budget

$3.5 million for guided tours of the Capitol; (GIVE ME A BREAK!)

$3 million for sugar cane; and

The above statement does not make sense. We are paying for this war so why ask the question??

We are already paying taxes to fund it. Your are also paying taxes to fund despicable garbage in the National Endowment of the Arts.

I wish I could request my taxes go to one and not the other, but I can't.

So I vote REPUBLICAN!!

much of the spending is gong to the debt... so we aren't paying for it... yet...

they would rather spend money on a war based on a lie that they can't support with any facts... than help Americans in their own country...

this is the conservative mindset...

we do pay taxes to fund it, it's called the federal income tax. better yet, "would pro-welfare democrats still support welfare if they had to pay a seperate welfare tax to fund it?"

only God knows how much welfare has really cost the American people, but by now it is surely more than a half a trillion dollars.
