It can be tough to make money when you first start. First thing, I'd drop tailoring and enchanting, and take 1) skinning and 2) either mining or herbalism (so you don't have to switch between tracking ore and herbs). Sell all your skins/herbs/ore on the auction house. You'll be amazed at what people will pay for things. On my server, a stack of copper, the lowest level ore, sells on the AH for anywhere from 1 to 5 gold, and that's just one example.
Second rule: never ever sell anything to a vendor unless it's a gray item. White and up, take to the AH. Even if one of your items doesn't sell, you can then go ahead and vendor it to make up for the loss of your deposit.
Following those rules will get you plenty of gold for pretty much anything you'd ever want to buy. For more details, including a plan for switching to crafting professions at higher levels, you can check out the guide I list in the source.
And now a question for you: what server do you play on? I'd gladly come help you out a little, get you back on your feet while you're learning to make your own money, but we need to be on the same server for that. You are more than welcome to reroll (make another character) on my server, Uther, if you're having that much trouble. I'm in a great guild of people who are kind, patient, and who love to help new players. In any case, I wish you much luck. Hang in there; making money really can be easy! =)

Enchanting doesn't pay off as a skill until you are pretty high level in it. Many people don't want low-end enchants, some won't take them even if you try to GIVE them away. Stop building it up for now and sell the stuff you would disenchant to auction house instead.
If you have some cloth left, craft it into the most expensive item you can, and sell it to vendors to get the money to repair your gear. Or sell the cloth directly Stacks of 20 of raw linen or wool cloth sell REALY well in most auction houses.
Also sell off anything you don't actually need to get the money for your gear.
Remember, your professions are a SECONDARY thing. They are there to help improve your character so that you can complete quests and kill monsters. Professions don't net you real xp, so they shouldn’t be the first focus of your spending. Keeping your equipment up to date and working should be your first priority (especially if you wear mail, less so with cloth armor.)
If either of the professions isn't working out for you, drop it and take up either skinning or mining. Skinning has the advantage of building xp while you kill the things you skin, while mining is in demand for three different professions. I’d drop enchanting before tailor, since enchanting becomes even more expensive if you can’t make cheap green cloth items to disenchant for their regents.
(It might be a good idea, with the advent of jewel crafting, to sell RAW minerals, instead of refining them first. Jewel crafters can make gems out of unrefined material. Of course, you should refine your first few batches of copper to get your mining skill up. When you no longer get crafting skill for refining, sell most of it raw instead.)
As for not killing anything, what class are you and what are you fighting? Make sure you are completing quests and killing monsters of the appropriate level. Repair your gear before you try though.

If you don't have money to repair your items, you need to keep killing stuff. I don't care what level you are, you can always find something near your level that you can kill with ease. Loot the mobs and sell to any vendor for money.
You may have to kill for a while (called "grinding") but you'll start getting more experience while doing this (which moves you up in level) and you'll get loot to sell (which gives you money to buy new stuff and repair your current items).
I don't recommend grinding as a leveling strategy, especially in the first 20 levels. Questing will get you there quicker. Just keep doing quests, looting, selling, etc. and you'll be fine.

Drop enchanting for skinning/mining/herbalism. Enchanting is a giant money suck until you get past about 40. Any of the gathering professions will make you money.
