That's my daughter's name (spelled with C).
Katherine is a strong name and has many good namesakes throughout history and many great saints! It means "pure" or "consecrated."

I used to hate the name, because everyone I met named Katharine was a mean, moody person. It is really popular, but I like the spelling of 'Kathryn' better.

Katharine is an absolutely beautiful name. It is so elegant and classy it can never be common or overused. I personally like the spelling Kathryn though, and BTW, I'm not being biased, my name isn't Kathryn! LOL

beautiful names dont matter much in the naming of a child because without knowing, you can curse that child or bless it just by its name. if Katharine is a name of someone you want to give your child, make sure the first bearer is a gud person. your child may end up picking her character

I really like Katharine, but I'm sure it will frequently be misspelled as Katherine unless you spell it that way to begin with.

I like the name. If I had a girl, that's what her name was going to be..just spelled different..Kathryn. (Unless you are pronouncing the second a, then I guess it would sound a little different.)
