Why should you have to pay to be a member on club penguin?????

You shouldn't have to pay! The only reason who need to pay is because the site needs some sort of revenue!

Someone had to set the site up, someone has to think of new clothing, games write the newspaper help "keep the peace" among other things. To do this is probably a lot of work, and these people need to be paid! Also, there is probably some sort of permit required to run that type of website with no advertisements.

I play as a non-member. Just try to find the free handouts. I have a tee-shirt, shoes, three or four hats, a mask and a beard all in just 4 months.

Because if they let people play on a members account they would soon go out of buisness. And then you would have no fun at all. Besides the fact people are willing to pay so why make it free? I bet if you owned the club penguin company and you had to pay money to pay your moderators and to run the system. You would want money to run the game and to get wealthy. lol

Even though it may not seem fair they need money to keep the site running if you did not have to pay then there would be pop up ads in the game so which would you rather have for free. A slight simpler game-play or having a lot of perks but you are constantly interrupted by ads.

It's your choice to be a member or not. My son goes to the site and just plays as a non member. You just don't get all the perks.

They're just trying to suck money out of you, but you can play as a non-member. It's about the same, but you get a smaller house.
