You most likely got pregnant after your period in october. So that means that you would add some more days from the fifteenth of every month.

Pregnancy goes by weeks as you know there is not always 4 weeks in a month. It is just an average of 1 mth=28 days=4 weeks hence being 24 weeks = 6 months. So basically count from the 15 oct every week on that same day (Sunday) until you get to 40 weeks.

When you get an ultrasound they will be able to tell you more accurately by making some measurements. 24 weeks is not quite six months. There are 4.3 weeks in a month. So, do it this way. In two weeks you will be 6 months. Expect to not go into labor until you are 9 months and 1 week, and if this is your first, possibly 9 months and two weeks. Good luck.

Don't worry about all of that, no one is ever right on time, there is no specific date anyone can give you. If they tell you July 21st, it will probably be a month before or a couple weeks before, and every once in a while it comes later than what they say it will. Just don't worry about little things like that, focus on keeping your body and baby healthy right now.

I know....it's confusing.
Technically, the gestation time for a baby is 38 weeks, but in the "old days" it was believed to be 40 weeks and this is how doctors still calculate it (but they compensate by "counting backwards" when figuring your due date).
That's why it always seems like the doc is telling you you're 2 weeks further along than you think.
Hope this helps.

doctors count your months by every 4 weeks. A normal gestational period is 40 wks, or 10 months. count a month for every 4 wks since your LMP. That's how the doctor figures it up.

I would think the best way to get an accurate answer is to talk to a doctor, or physician. But then I'm only on my 1st conception. Good Luck!

It is kinda confusing...lol. What really helped me was the book, "What to expect, when your Expecting" it has a lot of useful information and goes through every month of your pregnancy.
