Yes, I always got the good citizens award in grade school and I got an Metal in the army for going to war!!

In Elementary School we got these awards called PAC awards. Every teacher had to pick one student out of their class that did the best that year. The best as in, respecting teacher and others. As well as being an over all good student.
They only gave them out once a year. They had a big awards ceremony at the end of the year. I got one in 3rd grade and one in 5th grade.

Yes, in the 8th grade when they passed out awards to almost everyone I got the prestigious award of "slow and steady wins the race"...I guess my teacher's thought I was a slow learner but they were happy that I at least got it. Yeah, that was embarrassing!

When I was in 3rd grade, I won an award for writing the best essay.
Too bad I was sick and couldn't accept it. It's so awful..... I would have won $500!! :[

My Dad won a major award from answering newspaper puzzles.
He put it front and center in our living room wondow for everyone to see at night when he lit it up.
