Would a man be interested in a separated woman still living under the same roof as her future ex-husband?

I don't have any children but until the whole "who gets what" is ironed out I refuse to leave.

Your answers are greatly appreciated.

As long as you are still living with him, you shouldn't date anyone. If you have legal separation papers it could still be sticky. Especially if you want to keep all your stuff, and the stuff you might get to take with you, in one piece.

I was in this EXACT situation, last spring...only we had 3 children, to think about. We couldn't afford to live seperately/file for divorce, until we saved up the money. We had a mutual "don't ask, don't tell" policy, when it came to dating, but all "agreements" were thrown out the window, as soon as he got wind of my dating.

Bottom line is, that he kept the house that I was promised....and the children, as I had no place to take them. He pretty much took it all. he convinced the kids, to "want to stay with daddy", while I was doing everything I could, to find place for me and the children to live. I lost my kids and and basically all I that I owned.

Moral to the story: WAIT....now I've lost it all, and 9 months later, that "special guy" doesn't think "I'm so special", anymore. Trust me...it just isn't worth it.

If you go be straight with the guy he should understand but I do not think it is wise to go out while you are still under the same roof as him because then you guys will get in tons of fights over it and you probably have heard enough of that.

Do you really want a man who doesn't have a problem with dating a woman who's still living with her husband? Are your standards that low?? Then get ready for the next divorce!

I think if you start to date someone, you would have to meet someone that is real understanding. he is going to have to understand that you have no sexual relation to your ex and he is soon to be an ex hubby. le him know that you are open to dating. i think it is not appropriate t odate while you ex is in the house with you. if he is bringing people home thats wrong too. i think you should wait until he is out , he will get jealous and maybe want to start a fight or something. it is also rude. yes go on dates but let your new guy know whats going on.good luck.

Wait until your divorce is final and you and the ex live apart. It will make dating a whole lot easier.

Wait till everything is over and make sure you are over him cuz you dont wanna put an innocent man through your problems with your future ex-hus-band

Dating would be awkward at this stage...at leaset the guy picking you up at the door and returning you home would be weird. If I dated it would be "meet you there" and then drive myself home or else your future ex- will just feel the need to start bringing home bar-trash or hoochies just to drive you nuts and really, who needs them hanging around trying to steal your stuff?

Good luck!
