People fight no matter what, but whats important is communication and trying to improve. Fighting is a sign that you two are not communicating. Before I married my husband, I was dating a someone I fought with all the time. He was fun, interesting, smart, and I felt like I really loved him. We had to separate because we fought a lot. We forgot why we were together in the first place. You never really enjoy your relationship when you are fighting. Getting married is a commitment and if you're going to fight all the time, whats the point? It doesn't seem like you really know what he's feeling either, quote, "I love him and I'm pretty sure he loves me". Does he or doesn't he love you? It sounds like you're holding on to something that is way past it's expiration date.
However, if you want to try to salvage the relationship, which I don't recommend, I would sit down and have a heart to heart talk. Set down some rules for the way you will talk to each other: No fighting, no badgering, no name calling, no talking out of turn, whatever you need. Then. talk about why you fight, what upsets you, how you can try to make things better. If you two make a pact to improve but it just isn't working out, then accept the inevitable. It just isn't working and that's that.

there is a difference of healthy fighting and unhealthy. i have been in both situations. the previous relationship that i was in was for about a year and a half we were friends for over two years but that didnt stop him from trying to control me in every aspect of my life. dont get me wrong i loved him but i had to let him go. then i met my husband we have only been married for almost 2 months now but i love him more than i have ever loved another man in my life. but me and him get into it but we are fine within 5 minutes and when we talk it out. conversation is the best key to a relationship.

It depends on what you mean by "fight". Are you talking physical fighting? Insults and verbal abuse? Debates and heated conversations about issues like politics, religion, etc.? Arguing about how to spend money? Family issues? My husband and I always had lively conversations and disagreements. We still do. We've been married for over 25 years. I can only imagine how boring it would be to live with someone who always agrees with you. No one else can tell you what to do about your relationship; only you know how it affects the two of you.

I wouldn't bring children into the marriage if there is going to be constant fighting. If you really love each other then you both should seek counseling if you plan on staying together.

If you guys fight now,do you think getting married will change it> You're nuts if you think it will. You should both get on with your lives and find new partners now.

I think that you guys need to just call it quits. You don't want to end up pregnant and then feel compelled to stay even if you're not happy.
