Oh yeah. I feel like this every morning. That's why I drink coffee. One cup & it'll fix ya right up. Two cups maximum. Never after 10:00am. Drink more & you'll end up at those AA meetings, lookin' for more, more, more caffeine! LOL. It isn't aways easy being a person of virtue, so you gotta have a little vice now & then! If you don't drink coffee, then try a little piece of chocolate. It makes you feel like you are part of the world again! Enjoy!

Virtue is not religious in origin. The critical factor in virtue is parenting. If your parenting is loving and caring and this is the way you were treated as a child, then you will respond to your environment in a caring and loving way. Children who are reared with parental abandonment and abuse usually (not always) respond with anger and abuse to their environment.
People created religion and people (parents) create ethical children. So ... thank your parents.

U sound just about as far away from lost as human beings are capable of. It the peopel that try to fool themselves that they understand why they do things who are lost, or the people who 'chose' to stick to vices and then wonder why they dont like themselves.

well, i cant say y you do what you do, only you can decide that. however, i can say that i am also a viruous non-believer and can tell you y i do wat i do.
i simply feel pleasure in knowing that what im doing is better for the most amount of people (a utilitarian view). an existencial meaninglessness idea would be to say that my pleasure is really nothing but a chemical reaction and that it doesnt really matter (which is where i assume you are) and i really dont have a good answer for that, only that i prefer to feel good as opposed to feel bad, i dont concern myself with y i feel good or bad.

You should meditate. It is by far the best way to understand yourself. When you still the mind, any thought it contrasted by that stillness and it lets you see you are separate from your thoughts and implusles. This gives you opportunity to explore them deeper, to see why you think that way. You may consider googling "Ajahn Brahm" and check out his podcasts. He's a CMU theoretical physicist-turned-buddhist monk. He is pretty funny too. Good luck!

Maybe you have a sense of responsibility.
I want you to stop feeling so negative about yourself.
If you stick with virture, you won't have to explain such things as a felony, misdemeanor, speeding ticket, etc.
Religion has nothing to do with it, without realizing it, you are a good christian.

Being the "nice guy/gal" is way more simple and a lot less work on everyone's part.
