The person wants them to be networked together on a LAN with 100BaseT. Assuming I utilize a switch and each run will use a 25 foot cable.

What could I expect to have to spend on this project ,including the cost of NIC's for each PC. This would include specific costs involved as well as the bottom line cost. I would need to know the standard business costs without discounts.

Nic - $50 ($10/ea)
cable - bulk $25 (250ft)
rj-45 jacks - $10
crimper - $10
8 port router - $40

Approx $135-$150 depending on your market area. If your computers have ethernet ports built in to the motherboards, then subtract $50 (cost of NICs).

What labor for the setup is largely dependant on what area of the country etc. as well as the skill level of the installer.
To me if the installer has to ask this question he/she should be fairly low paid.

All that being said go to pricewatch.com and get the prices for nics and switches. Add your markup and you are done.

Otherwise you need to tell us where you are located, what version of windows you are running, if the runs will be wall mounted or open, if you want the ability to upgrade to gigabit later (use Cat 6 in place of 5), if you want to just terminate at the switch or use a patch panel for flexibility (just in case you want to expand) if you need file sharing enabled on each machine, well that should help.

well assuming your computers already have the ethernet port. the only thing you should check is the price for 5 ethernet cables, a hub, and a cable modem.
cables $6-$9
hub ~$55
cable modem $30-$40
