From what I have read, he had already experimented with the H, and his mum and stepfather were H dealers. I would love to hear from anyone who knows about The Sex Pistols and/or Sid & Nancy. Cheers.

It didn't help. I watched a TV show called Final 24 and according to Malcolm Mclaren, he tried to split them up by having Nancy kidnapped and put on a plane back to the States. On the way to the airport she escaped and told the police "I've been kidnapped by the Sex Pistols".
The theory is that Sid's mum gave him a lethal dose of heroin because she couldn't stand the thought of her son spending the rest of his life in prison. Whether or not this is true, we will never know because she herself committed suicide in 1996.

Sid Viscious was actually out on bail for the alledged murder of Nancy. He and her were together in a hotel room and he woke to find she had been stabbed in the stomach , he couldn't remember what happened but there was nobody else involved so he was the only suspect. He was out on bail when his mother gave him his last fix of heroin, the dose killed him, he'd been clean for a while it was either too much for his body or he may have done it on purpose because he knew that he had killed his girlfriend and would have to face prison for murder (although in the consequences it would have meen manslaughter). If anybody is to blame then it's his mother, I wonder if his mother is still alive today and if so how can she live with herself for introducing her son to drugs.
