They don't have as many of the traditional sort of Large hollow chocolate eggs that are filled with smaller chocolates as in the UK. However they do have many similar to that.

What is traditional in America is to have an Easter basket that is filled with a variety of Easter candies and chocolates. Cadbury creme eggs are sold in America as well as many other varieties of flavored marshmallow and creme eggs.

Most Easter baskets would also include colorful dyed hard boiled eggs, jelly beans and marshmallow peeps.

Before I became a full-time mommy, the ladies in my office would always give stuff out to everyone for Easter and Valentines, etc.

Perfectly acceptable, but try not to do TOO much sugary stuff because some people are diabetic.

Of course they do! They're rampant consumers - they've been bred that way. They've also probably been eating hot cross buns since new year, too.
