my french teacher actually does know alot about science and he's a science olympiad teacher so he's not stupid or anything but i just think it was wrong for him to make a joke out of it and he was like "ha ha a scientist in a tutu" there was only one other dancer in the class besides me so it was kinda pissing me off that the whole class was laughing at his corny jokes

That is awesome! How very rude of your teacher to generalize dancers.
I hope this helps you:
It never occurred to her that one path to that goal might be through dance. Then she met Liz Lerman, winner of a MacArthur Foundation "genius" award and founder of the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange. Lerman was spending the year as an artist-in-residence at Wesleyan, while she choreographed Ferocious Beauty: Genome, a dance about the human genome.
“The genome dance project got me thinking that there may be many more untapped ways to make science matter to non-scientists.”

Tell your french teacher Bruce Lee was a dancer (cha cha champion of Hong Kong) and invented his own style of martial art, published the single greatest martial arts text written since Sun Tsu and produced the single greatest martial arts movie in cinematic history.
If that doesn't shut the arrogant egg head up tell him Bruce once intimidated the entire country of france with and exhibition of punches and kicks that scared the french so bad they still haven't stopped shaking. Point out that nowhere in this answer is the word french or france, capitalized.

How rude and ignorant of him to say it. It is unfortunate that he made fun of dancers for no particular reason.
I can't think of a person who'd be famous for both dancing and science. Both fields take extreme dedication, so it is pretty hard to be famous in both. If it helps you any, Amateur Ballroom is comprized of people who do dancing as a hobby. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you might be imagining something lame. (Link to example of Amateur Championship is below). I find it quite inspiring to talk to them after the competition - it always amazes me. Sometimes you meet a neurosurgeon in a latin outfit, sometimes a mathematitian in a standard gown.

I specifically included 1/4-final because I personally know some people from there who are Ph.D. students.

Aww...That's mean of her, i am a dancer too. One of the most famous dancers i have learned about are Martha Graham and Bob Fosse. I can't remember any others, but those are the most fantastic dancers! Good luck, and prove your teacher wrong! A very similar thing happened with one of my friends a while ago!
