I'm guessing you want it to be somewhat romantic if you're watching it with you bf so here's some of my faves:
1) A walk to Remember
2) Save the Last Dance
3) 10 things I hate about you
4) Dirty Dancing
5) Grease
6) Bride and Prejudice
Also, it's not a romantic film but one movie I'm sure you'r movie will love and I doubt you'll hate is "The Replacement Killers." It's such a great movie!

If you're looking for one that just came out and you're willing to watch an R-Rated movie, "Children of Men" is the one for you. It just came out on DVD and is a sci-fi tale of a future where women somehow lose the ability to have children. My favorite movie of the past few years.
Check out the movie trailer at the website

Well,I suggest Pride and Prejudice. It's a love story though-- i don't know if a guy would like that. It's very powerful. I'm not sure. You know your guyfriend, but it's romantic and a really good movie. Though, a guy might think it was a stupid movie. Oops.

A Cinderella Story is about the cutest movie ever. i absolutely loveee it. its not inappropriate, and it is romantic.
Also, a Walk to Remember is amazing.
and Radio....
the top two are romantic, the third one's just really good. im not sure what kind of movie to clarify it as though..its not really a comedy, nor scary, nor chick flick. its just sad..lol

If you like comedy...then Click (Adam Sandler) not too inappropriate
if you like mysteries and murder scenes then The Illusionist (Edward Norton) pretty interesting, but alittle hard to understand
and if you like horror then watch Silent Hill (Rahda Mitchell) Really great movie but also alittle hard to understand
Hope these help :)

If you want a romantic movie, I suggest Because I Said So, or if he isn't really into that you could go rent Happy Feet.

Stranger Than Fiction is a good romantic comedy and so is Music and Lyics.
The Illiusionist with Ed Norton was pretty good.
