I think that Brady Quinn will go to Detroit at number 2. The Lions traded Dre Bly to the Broncos for Tatum Bell and George Foster (OT), so they don't need Joe Thomas.

Options for the Lions (assuming the Raiders grab JaMarcus Russell:)
1. Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
2. Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
3. Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson

...if JaMarcus Russell falls to them, Detroit selects him, thus causing Brady Quinn to fall to the Vikings.

Brady Quinn is still the best fine tuned QB in the draft, even better than JaMarcus Russell (and im a huge SEC fan). Everyone calls Russell the best b/c of 1 game, ppl have no idea bout his entire career (which is pretty good but had he not went off in the Sugar Bowl he wouldnt be a top 20 pick). Quinn had an inferior team than Russell had therefore Russell had it easier. Quinn had a horrible line, decent receivers, no RB, and absolutely no defense. When he gets to the NFL he will have a terrific career, and that career will begin with:

He will go either #1 (Raiders), 2 (Lions), or 3 (Browns). No way will he be available to the Vikings at #7.

Well no, not everyone agrees. Personally, I hope they pass on him if he's available because the Tarvaris Jackson guy deserves a chance. Drafted in the 2nd round, was never given a chance with good receivers to throw to. Minnesota should draft somebody like Ted Ginn if available and let Jackson proove himself either way before getting a new QB. The Vikings defense could carry that team to the playoffs if they get their offense rolling, and they could get Quinn, but with no WR, what good is Quinn? Well, that's my opinion...best of luck to the Vikings and their fans.

I would agree with you but being a Vikings fan I'm hoping they go a different direction.I agree with one of the answers given about Jackson being their quarterback and offense is their problem but I don't think a WR is the answer either.I know Troy has so far been a bust but I' thinking they need to move ahead of Chicago and get Peterson. With Chicago losing their running game I see them going after Peterson. We all know the running game opens up the passing game and with what the Vikes have to work with(no premier running back)Peterson would make a good fit as a Viking.

U must b dreaming...or a Vikingz fan...LoL..."no offense" but worth it or not....Lions would not pass on Quinn...neither would Clevland
They no he is an exceptional Quarterback and bringing him in will bring alotta publicity 2 each team...look @ the Saints...bringing in Bush wasnt a freenzy to fill a need...they had Deuce but with Reggie there..... all eyes on saints...
and no question he is the answer 2 both francises problems.... most likley Brady will wear Brown....but good luck.... i no if Minnesota has the chance he will be in a Vikingz uniform.....

No, we do not all agree. He has a good chance of going at #3 to the Cleveland Browns. He might also get picked up by the Lions (Hope not, Quinn deserves better), and possibly the Redskins (very doubtful though)

thats a good fit in my mock draft
quinn could before the 7th pick, but i think going to minnesota is a great fit for him.
he played under a pro system for the past 2 years under tom brady's old offensive co-ordinator, and i can see the similarities between the 2.

personally, i am not one of those people who are extremely anti-quinn. i dont love him, but i respect the fact that he is much more ready for the NFL than Russell

Quinn will go no lower than #3 overall. He will most likely end up #2 with the lions, as they have no QB worth mentioning (and no Kitna really is NOT a QB worth trying to build a franchise around. Great backup though!) If he falls to the Browns, they will consider themselves incredibly lucky.

Considering the Vikes dire needs at WR I think they'd be foolish drafting Quinn. They do not need another young, experienced, unproven QB, they already have one in Tavaras. And Quinn is certainly no 'can't miss' NFL QB.
