you can do it yourself if you remember how it was. Or you can try attaching a clasp. Fixing the ball is very easy all you have to have are the beads and some string. I use very thin fishing line. It's stronger than most of what the braclets are made with. You can also make your own new ball hook by buying a wooden bead that is the same size and adding the beads. Just string the beads and go in and out of the hole in the ball. You can also seal it with clear nail polish wich will make it stronger.

You bead a ball in a design called the peyote stitch. If you can't find instructions on how to this, by doing a web search for ' peyote stitch ball instructions', you can find out in this book. "The Art and Elegance of Beading" by Carol Wilcox Wells.
