I want to do some work like tilling up a few flower beds and we will have to re-sod our front lawn. We are looking to invest about 500 dollars for one but don't know which is the best. Any ideas?

I have a big Troy Built. It does a great job. I know they make smaller ones that might be within your budget...

I bought a Mantis tiller off the television several years ago and have been extremely happy with it. It's very compact in size and lightweight, but does a great job. I've used it on vegetable and flower gardens. We've put several of them in in our yard, and the mantis will go through grass and all - honest! We also used it last year to completely till and reseed our front yard - it was destroyed due to some construction. It cost $300 and the tines are guaranteed for life against breakage.
