I Believe By adding the spending with the pullout date the Dems. Know that if Bush Vetoes it, it Looks Like He Doesn't Support Our Troops, and if he signs it they win, either way The Democrats Make Themselves Look Better

I think that this bill was the best the Democrats could do in this situation. Not all Democrats would agree to cutting the funds immediately and not all Democrats would agree to a funding bill with no restrictions. This is a compromise bill. The bill is not unreasonable and Bush should sign it. He won’t but it would be in the country’s best interests if he did.

Its pretty obvious youre on the right track, they could of made two seperate bills, which would not haveendangered the troops supplies, one for the funding another to end the war, it will get vetoed and they loaded it up with pork.

So what's the matter ....don't like it when the other side resorts to the same tactics???

Tough!!!

Sign the bill or don't get the money!!!

Does Bush want the money or not??

Either way the troops will be home!!

Congress is doing exactly what the American people have asked!!

Perfect example of the old saying....All's fair in love and war!!

Bush's a criminal and a liar and a international thief and conflict monger who began wars international and did no longer EVEN win the elction with Gore back in 2000...he stole that ELECTION and he's conscious it. He then destroyed the economic equipment and gave huge tax breaks to basically his wealthy friends and positioned their tax expenditures to 5% and made the adverse pay the taxes... he makes me unwell to easily think of how he killed the enviroment and killed toddler seals day & night and led to thousands and thousands to lose their wellbeing care

I think you conclusion is dead on.
The pork added to this important bill could have been addressed at any time in the future and it was simply lame to attach them to a funding bill for our troops on the front line.
Real lame.

Probably anybody that pays attention to politics.. What does it matter??

BTW: Did you ask a similiar question when the Reps did it to the dems over the minimum wage.. That was clearly set up to make them look bad. Same thing, differant issue...

Actually the majority of the people see what is really happening and are very upset with congress.

FOX news has made a point of mentioning the pork and pull out bill , some people don't like FOX news but there is a reason they are the number one news network.
