I am so sorry to see all the similarities in these answers. It points out how serious a problem we have in our country and (perhaps) why so many people fail to vote.

Having said that ...Hell, I have to agree. Your opinion counts only when you can rally significant others (voters) who share your views. Only then will politicians (R's or D's) pay attention ...and then ...only because they think they have to.

The followup question is ..."What in the world are 'we' going to do about it?"

No. They do not care. The country is run by the elites which constitute 2% of the population. It is all about power and big bucks. Who has it, got it.

No, they didn't care what we thought about the Viet Nam war or this war either. Although I'd like to think they care I believe it's all about the money and power.

The problem with represented guvnors is they don't have to leed on the premise they ran on.
