O.K. that we invaded Afghanistan to get the terrorist, but not Iraq? Everyone was behind Iraq when we first started that invasion, but now it's wrong. Just because we didn't find any WMD"s? How is it we are hurting the Iraqi people but the citizens of Afghanistan don't matter to you? I never hear any of you showing concern for that group of people. And if you are such big Humanitarians then Why would you want to leave Iraq so that the terrorist can take over that country and torture them endlessly? I think before you jump to conclusions perhaps you should think about other humans instead of what's best for your pocket.. You complain an awful lot about how high our deficit is and all the funding we've used for our military.. Answer me this, how has it effected you directly?

Terrorist were there before we came in to that country, Just because the Taliban wasn't don't mean they were free of them. If you don't know that you have issues. There are terrorist in London, France, South America, Poland and Here... anyone who thinks that we brought them there has absolutely no common sense... We just caused them to show themselves more often...

You say, "Everyone was behind Iraq when we first started that invasion, but now it's wrong" Here's why people now think "it's wrong".
1) We were told by this administration that Iraq had WMD's "just because they didn't have them" kinda defeats the whole reason we were told we were going to war, so yeah, that's not just a minor detail. In other words, we were told Iraq was a major threat to us and they were not...and the intelligence that's come out since that supposedly said that they had WMD's is garbage, especially since they also ignored intelligence saying that there were none. There's no doubt the world's a better place without Saddam - but the new Iraq ain't so great either, and just be truthful in the first place about why you want to go in there.
2) We were told that it would be very quick - it's now been over 4 years
3) We were told that we'd be treated as liberators - we most certainly have not.
Now, because we are in Iraq, the country's a mess and al-Queda has completely taken over Afghanistan - the place we should have been in the whole time -- remember that whole 9-11 thing??? The people who caused it are there!! Aren't you a little upset that we haven't gotten justice for that yet because we've been in Iraq?

The terrorists were in Afghanistan, not Iraq(not until after the invasion-Dubya's managed to create thousands of them with his splendid little war). The people of Afghanistan concern us a great deal, especially those in the areas controlled by the Taliban and Al Qaeda, five years after they should have been defeated.
You do realize that death squads abduct, torture and kill at will in Iraq now, don't you?
And as for the question about the debt accrued, you display the typical conservative thinking about this and the other $5 trillion we're in the hole for-it doesn't matter because our children will have to pay for it,not us.

I keep seeing answers indicating that there were no terrorists in Iraq - fact is, along with his cronies and sons, Saddam was the biggest terrorist of all. Mass graves, gassing your own people, paying a bounty to the families of suicide bombers who kill innocent people and who knows what else. The argument that Iraq was without its share of terrorists rings hollow.
If history is a good teacher, I'd have to say that the people who want an immediate withdrawal don't give a damn about what happens to the Iraqi people in the aftermath.

It's quite ironic to here this from a con:
"perhaps you should think about other humans instead of what's best for your pocket."
OK get ready for the typing, give me about five minutes to finish this for you.
ok here you go. Happy Easter
Lets start with Afghanistan.
After 9/11, Intelligence stated that the "Al Quaeda" was behind the masterful plan that brought down the towers, put a hole in the ground, took out a wall at the pentagon, and made NORAD stand down (oh wait that last one was us.). Intelligence also stated that the "Al Quaeda" was located in Afghanistan. We believed them and went over there. Thousands of innocent people died with the upbringing of the MOAB and the Bunker Buster.
From here we went to Iraq to "search for WMD's" What's that President? There weren't any? And then somehow, magically, the 'terrorist', and I use that term lightly, did a Michael Jordan Jump over Iran and landed in Iraq to fight us there.
Question:
If the 'terrorist' can do MJ jumps like that and they want to hurt us, why don't they just come here? Um, let's see. Oh yeah that's right, We created our enemies by killing innocent civilians. It's called vengeance! In case you can't recall, there wasn't too much opposition while taking Saddam out. Most happened afterwards.
This was has effected all of us. You live here don't you?
Have you traveled outside the country yet? Have you noticed it costs more to fill your tank now, even though we now have twice as much oil as we did before the war? Have you noticed that the US dollar is now worth less in the global market? The dollar:euro ratio is 1:.5 That's low. This President is the worst ever.
Terrorist aren't going to take over the country when we leave. Those 'terrorist' are the citizens of that country who are fighting for us to leave them alone and quit taking their oil. It's not terrorist against the good guys. It's sunnis against the shiites. It's religious difference. Saddam killed to maintain stablity, Bush kills for oil.
Again on the 'terrorist' torture bullcrap. How many Iraqis have you seen tortured by these so called 'terrorist'. NONE, and it's because we're stopping them. If we are good enough to stop terrorist from torturing a whole country, then why can't we stop them from capturing soldiers and media? Because the citizens just want us out. With their low education, this is the most logical things they can think of doing since they don't have money for weapons. Beheadings and IED's.
I love it when you cons make dumb remarks. It reminds my why I'm a free thinker. Because I CAN think
Oh, and I love your little "Added Details" rant.
Nothing but a bunch of idiotic remarks. And, instead of using facts to back yourself up, you do it with character attacks!
You really are brilliant!

America has put Iraq in "endless torture" good people caught between extremists and an invading army.
America leaves and it just removes one less side to fire a gun at them. I'm sure lots pray everyday for a return to Saddam style life.
"Just because we didn't find any WMD's?" - So the truth never matters does it?

Not everyone was for going to Iraq!
I wasn't EVER!!
I was suspect of Al Qaeda's involvement!
Let's not forget the US government aided and in fact supplied and trained Al Qaeda in the 70's & 80's!!
Why didn't Bush & Co. think of all of the things you mentioned BEFORE they went to Iraq???
If we leave Iraq the terrorists wouldn't torture them endlessly as you say....They want the US and it's coalition out of the ME!!
Period!
That's it!! That's all!!
Bush wants to build US bases in Iraq.....ME erners don't want the bases there or us!!!!
GET OUT!!!
So Leanne your main concern is the poor individual Iraqi???
Over US military personnel.... who I will remind you are tired of the way Bush is lying and mismanaging the situation in the ME as well!!

Just calm down. Read the two following sentences:
The terrorist were and still are in Afghanistan
There NEVER were any terrorist in Iraq until we invaded.
If you can understand those two sentences than all your questions will be answered.

The Al Queda group was based in Afganistan, not Iraq. Bush didn't make the people that attacked NYC a priority.
Saddam controlled Iraq with an iron fist, and no terrorists were there. Thanks to the USA....all sorts of terrorists are there now, and the situation is worse!
