After 5 hours, you could. Percocet contains tylenol, so to avoid permanant (and possibly fatal) liver damage, you shouldn't take it with additional tylenol. Advil (or any other form of Ibuprofin) can be taken safely in doses of up to 1000mg without much concern, so long as your stomach tolerates it. Usually I find 1000mg (thats 5 advil tablets) works better and longer than percocet and generally has fewer side effects.

Yes -- but per se, you arn't supposed to. I'm assuming the percocets you have contain 500mg of acetaminophen, in which case, you would have consumed 1500mg over the course of five hours, were you to take the percocet. While the makers of most acetaminophen containing products do not recommend this high a dosage over such a small period, toxicity to the liver would not be in issue in dosages less than 2500mg in a 6-8 hour span. Go for it.

Percocet contains two drugs, one is Acetaminophen (Tylenol) which is a pain reliever/fever reducer. The other drug is Oxycodone, a narcotic analgesic used for it's calming effect and for pain. Narcotics are very addictive. You didn't say what your pain is and how severe, but I would stay away from the Percocet unless you are in extreme pain. Try a couple of Advil (Ibuprofen).

What replaced into the "mg" on the tylenol - replaced into it popular tylenol 325mg/pill? or replaced into it ES (greater capability tylenol 500mg/pill?) Percocet 2.5mg pills have 325mg of tylenol in each and each pill - it quite is obvious that undeniable tylenol isn't wisely controlling your soreness - in case you're purely taking only one pill suited now then i might say it could be ok yet no longer perfect - you will desire to have taken the percocet first -yet it is water below the bridge (with the objective to talk) purely remember that the Max dose for tylenol is 4000mg in 24 hour era - in case you have greater suitable than 3 alcoholic beverages according to day then you definately would desire to seek for suggestion out of your medical professional yet whilst the prescription is yours then I say which you in all risk have already got whilst uncertain approximately taking medicine inclusive of this question - call your community pharmacist - they seem to be a competent medicine tips source and are enormously knowledgeable
