I really want a Hamster, I really want a pet, thing is I'm in college, I see that the golden hamster is small and so is it's cage, so it wouldn't be that hard to hide in a dorm room, and it wouldn't be that hard to buy a shipping basket to take it home when I need to go home.
I'm looking up info on it and the cost of products cage, food etc. I could most likely get some of the fruit and veggies from my college dining hall.
So should I get one, or should I just get a beta fish?

The idea sounds feasible to me as long as the consequences of getting caught (such as it against dorm rules?) won't mean being expelled.

I think the answer above me is funny..cus i had a hamster named kitty once. Anyway yeah....get a hamster if you have the time to care for it. theyre cute and fun. After you get the cage, theyre pretty cheap to own. ...fruits and veggies are fine for a treat but it needs a stable diet too.

get a fish cause my broth had one it keep escaping into the heating duct thing finally it died if u really want one get a cage that u could put tubes on it alot of tubes give it a wheel to spin on and tape the opening that u could take it out cuz my brothers hamster know how to open the hatch with its teeth

Yes you should but don't feed it too much vegetable as my friend's hamster died because of that. I have a rabbit so a hamster would be great!

yeah get them they r soo cute and fun to play with. but once they get lost in the house it may take time to find it.trust me its fun to have one.
