Dude...Bush is so lame....
It's now well established that George W. Bush never showed up for National Guard duty for a period of approximately one year, possibly more, in 1972-1973. Despite all the talk about "honor and dignity," President Bush has apparently flushed his down the toilet. President Bush went AWOL!! Cheney himself also received 5 deferments! Both of these men are “Chicken Hawks.”

Bush says he's released all his records...if that's true, then has anyone seen:
Any pages from Bush's flight log
Records from the Flight Inquiry Board convened after Bush was suspended as a pilot
Any evidence of Bush's reclassification into another AFSC after suspension as a pilot
Any photos of George Bush in a military uniform after 1972
Anything at all from any Alabama unit with Bush's name on it
Any copies of form 44a from the Alabama National Guard certifying attendance
Air Force Form 142 (Aviation Service Audit Worksheet)
Anything proving service (not just receipt of pay) by Bush between May 1972 and May 1973?
1) He got into the Guard by pulling strings, avoiding the year and a half waiting list
2) He took a 2-month vacation in Florida after just 8 weeks, to work on a political campaign
3) Bush skipped Officer Candidate School and got a special commission as a 2nd Lieutenant, without qualifications
4) He was assigned to a safe plane (being phased out of active service), the F-102
5) During flight school, he was flown on a government jet to Washington for a date with President Nixon's daughter Tricia
6) Bush got an illegal transfer (later overruled) to a base with no work
7) He simply didn't show up for a YEAR, with no penalty
8) George W. skipped all his medical exams after they started drug tests, and was removed from flight status
9) He ended his service 10 months early to go to Harvard Business School
and the thing is....he ain't even a very good business man!

Yup, almost as bad as the previous administration that didn't want anyone who ever wore a uniform in the cabinet. But there isn't too much comment in Washington about his lack of service because rich/important people's kids rarely get in harm's way, and it aint ordainary everyday folks who typically wind up on Capitol Hill. That is where guys like Bob Dole and John McCain are different, but it's not enough to get you elected. So teh GOP picking Bush was a mistake, but he was still better than the alternative ("patrolling the tiger grass" with a typewriter is more amusing but no better, or writing yourself up for purple heart citations so you can go home a decorated war hero).

He flew over Texas SOME of the time, when he felt like showing up. He has no real war experience.

Bush defended the skies of Texas against a Vietcong attack...when he even bothered to show up!!
That was limited experience, and I'm sure the American POW's in Vietnam felt so much better knowing Bush was on Guard duty.
