do u hav a wild imagination?
do u think like an artist???
look hard at that empty canvas.
picture wat u want it to hav on it!
take ur needle stare it straight in the "eye"
and tell it IM MAKIN A PENGUIN!
using ur needle as a pen, sew sew away!

just a flat embroidered picture? look in childrens coloring books or story books, copy the picture and size it as you like in a printer or copy machine, then put on a light table at the copy shop and trace onto the fabric with a pencil, ready to embroider.

Diane L. gave you a cute pattern, but it's not embroidery. The pattern is for cross stitch. It might even be easier for you to learn. It only involves 2 stitches. ..cross stitch and back stitch.
