Girls are suppose to get a pap smear when whichever of these comes first - period or sex. It's just something that should be done once a year to make sure there is nothing wrong going on down there.

I wouldn't worry about not getting your period very often. When I first got mine I was 3 mos away from being 15. I got it once & it didn't come again for 9 mos, then it didn't come again for 6 mos. It was very irregular for the first couple of yrs. Now I'm in my 20s & it's still irregular, though not as bad. I have yearly check ups & there is nothing wrong with me, it's just the way my body works. You may be the same way, especially if you are very thin or are really active in sports.

At your young age its quite common to have irregular periods. The only way to get pregnant is to have sex (or invitro ) and since you haven't done that don't worry.Usually pap smears are done when you are having sex (which you are not) or are having a problem.Once your periods even out, then a pap test is recommended every 1-3 years.Believe me its not that bad, maybe a little uncomfortable, but its worth getting done as it detects alot of things.Have your mom talk with her gynecologist to see what he or she recommends. Please don't worry so much!!!

Sweetie, a pap smear is harmless...You need to go to a OBGYN and tell her/him about your periods. They can give you something to help regulate you. I had the same problem, but I was even younger than you. If you are a virgin, then you aren't pregnant, silly. Stop worrying, go see a doctor, find out the problem, and you will be Soooooo glad you did......

If you're still a virgin, then you can count out pregnancy. I'll have to agree with the answerer who said it's most likely hormonal. There's nothing afraid of about going to a gynecologist. We all do it. Just keep telling yourself that - millions of us do it every day. You'll be fine, but you better address the problem now while you're young. You don't want anything to happen to your reproductive organs by putting it off. You have nothing on you that these doctors haven't seen thousands of times before.

If this is happening, and you are a virgin, a pap smear might be your only option to see what's going on 'down there'. 2 months is a big gap...very weird...I wish you luck!!!

You're not pregnant. Your hormones are just out of whack.

Second of all, you don't HAVE a pap smear. You have to GET one. It's a test.

Third............you don't drink pills.........
