Why would he what? The borderline diabetic needs to refrain from sweets, not his friends. Lots of people with diabetes eat things they are not supposed to. Most of us eat things we shouldn't.

OK first off...you / he is either a diabetic or not.... no there's no such thing as a borderline diabetic...that means if you don't watch it you will become one...either type 1 you need insulin shots...or type 2 pill form... But it is a great idea to get rid of sweats...and high carbs...just remember tho all those " NO SUGAR ADDED" stuff you need to read the labels... sugar added sometimes is far worse, it's loaded with Alcohol sugar which is worse for anyone...become a label reader...get a couple of diabetic cook books and read up on it...become aware and be his advocate, it will help you both.

Because he doesn't understand his condition and neither do you. Diabetics need to watch carbohydrate consumption. Carbohydrates convert to sugar and he doesn't produce enough insulin to handle all the sugar his body is producing. Carbohydrates are found in starchy foods as well as baked goods. He needs a dietician. You need to realize that you can encourage him to eat right, but you can't change him.

First of all there is no such thing as border line diabetic. Either you are or your not. It is very comendable that you do that for him, he might be in denial about the whole diabetic thing right now. Every man wants to think we are superman and nothing can hurt us. Keep on what you are doing, he'll come around to what you are doing for him.

Oh for $#$$@# sake! Maybe they are just friends. Really, don't you think if there was anything going on between your husband and that woman that he would not have brought home a cake that she made just for him? And wouldn't she KNOW not to bake him a cake if he is borderline diabetic, if she was having an affair with him? IT IS JUST CAKE!

1 of two things I would say, either he is in denial, or just don't care. You also have to do more that just not eat sweet, fruit has natural sugars, bread, ect. I would sugesst he eat smart, but you cant always tell others what to do, just encourage !

yes it would be nice if you completed your question the first time gives us all more understanding. yeah we are all diabetics and still eat like pigs lol . no forreal we try its very tempting. its all in the mind.
