i'm not talking about sugar rubs, etc. body sugaring is a type of hair removal product that you can make at home or get at a spa, etc

yes, it is similar to waxing, in that it is a hair removal technique. I have had it done and personally think it is horrible and is not as good as waxing. I have very deep rooted hair, and I don't think it lasts as long. Also the product itself always made me break out compared to conventional waxing. But probably due to the fact I have sensitive skin.

to me the results are similar to that threading thing everyone posts about. Which again is another equally useless technique.

Yes, but what's nice about sugaring is that its water soluble, so if you get it somewhere it shouldn't be you can remove it with warm water!
Here's a recipe if you are going to try it at home.

1 C Sugar
1/4 C lemon juice
1/4 C Water or chamomile tea
1/2 tsp tea tree oil

Mix all together, boil until it reaches 250 degrees F. or at softball stage (as in when making jelly or candy.) Pour into a jar. Nuke (lol... my term for using the microwave)for about 10 to 20 seconds to soften. (test and make sure not too hot before using this also) Powder area to be waxed... spread w/direction of hair growth, I recomend using muslin strips to cover the area you are to wax... then when cooled slightly pull fabric off against growth

Yes, it is like waxing but is supposed to be gentler and safer.
