I have a few things that might be interesting.
The Japanese have a word dedicated to the phrase "death by overwork"... The word is karoshi.

There soon will be a replacement for even HD DVDs called Holographic drives. The 2010 version of this will be able to hold 1.6 TB. Even with (I think it's called) Perpendicular burners, that will increase traditional CDs DVDs, HD DVDs, and Blue Ray discs by 10%... traditional discs will be a thing of the past.

Our Sun will eventually expand approximately to where our Earth is right now... But that won't happen for couple million or billion years.

The interesting bottle design of Coke was fashioned after a woman's dress.
Coke invented the Santa Clause we know.
The Coke bottle helped with the design of the Avro Arrow, (A Canadian jet, that even by today's standards would have been a great plane... Got discontinued).
Was originally an alcoholic drink, that was supposed to help cure a drug addiction of, (I believe), morphine.

Right now most robots are focused in one field for the most part, (lifting things we couldn't, prosessing information like Big Blue, there is even a robot that can talk using air pumps and synthetic vocal cords. The list is extensive...). But that is starting to change...
For humanoid styles, there are two options for mobility.
1)Wheels, which have a better battery life, but lack in mobility.
2)Legs, which have better mobility, but the battery life is very short.
Scientist are working on a way for robots to walk, and cut down on the batteries using "elastic refleces", but are now faced with a stability problem... never the less they are fine tuning the problems, and once humaniod robots become "mainstream", there will be two options you should be able to go with...
1) The robot learns everything from the ground up. Down side, it takes trial and error, but will "learn" how you like it done.
2) You would be able to buy programs, so it could do preset things. Down side is that would be the way it is done, unless you pay for specialized programs. The good thing is, it gets it right the first time.

Scientists have studied electrons, and there have been curious findings.
When they shot electrons through a slit, in a plate of metal, the electrons came out the other side in a pattern the same as the slit.
When they added more slits, the electrons acted more like waves of water, That is that there was a pattern from the electrons as if the electrons turned into a fluid.
They then hooked up a piece of machinery to monitor the electrons as they passed though the slits, only to find that the electrons went back to forming patterns that were the same as the slits in the metal.
They cannot describe it any better than the electrons sometimes being in one spot, other times in mulitple spots, and even in some cases nowhere at all.
To better understand, chech out the DVD, What The Bleep Do We Know, Down The Rabbit Hole Edition.

If you were to wear a pair of glasses that inverted your sight. Your Brain would rewire itself to see normally again. After having this happen, if you were to take the glasses off, you would be seeing things upside down through your natural eyes, even though you were right side up.

You know the Movie ' Moulin Rouge '?

Well, the place was a prototype of what the world didn't have til then.

Hollywood.

That's what the place was. Hollywood in miniature. All types of people use to try out for the place.

One particularly interesting chap was a guy who could control his flatulence so well, he could do popular tunes and even the Marseillaise.

Hm.

Portent on the true worth of politics as well, apparently. Needless to say he got the job but depended on word of mouth of clientele.

People in the Middle Ages couldn't safely drink water because all the rivers, and many wells, were polluted. In the East they boiled their water and drank tea, and in the West they made wine and beer: the alcohol killed the bacteria.

Most Europeans were permanently drunk. Europeans eventually developed a degree of inherited immunity to alcohol, which is pretty toxic, but Native Americans, Asians, Africans and Australians did not. They were both attracted to it and weakened by it, thus easing the conquest of the globe by Europeans.

If you look closely, there is a car on a nearby hill overlooking the arena where Ben Hur (Charlton Heston) is chariot-racing his adversary, Messala (Stephen Boyd), in the movie Ben Hur.

And there was a possible homosexual subtext, but due to Hollywood's production code at that time, it was suggested it was down to the actors to bring that across. But due to Heston's aversion to homosexuality, he was not told about this, but Stephen Boyd was, and this can be seen the movie.

Isn't that very, very interesting? : )

We can never just "be". We cannot let our thoughts pass by, so to speak, without getting involved. We almost always follow our thoughts and get involved. Often we build a drama of sorts and then act it out! The part of us that some have called "the original face" (simple awareness) is lost in a jumble of belief systems and endless mind chatter.

“Sleep Paralysis (SP) is a common medical condition and usually tagged nowdays as a Sleeping Disorder.
The symptoms can sometimes include complete to partial paralysis of arms, legs and upper torso, a tight or heavy pressure on your chest sometimes with a choking sensation and almost always experienced as you are about to fall into sleep or just come out of sleep.
The most remarkable symptoms of SP are the accompanying audio and/or visual hallucinations often causing extreme terror and panic in it's sufferers, who more often than not mistakenly believe they are being visited by aliens, malevolent beings and other evil presences.”

Global warming CAUSES increased levels of CO2 - and NOT the other way around.

Some men if supple enough *CAN* "do it" ;)

BlueRay has already effectively conceeded defeat - and the HD-DVD will emerge as the winner - mainly because of Sony being very silly and banning porn from being put onto their format.

there ya go, 3 things that not many people know about (yet)
