"forty is new thirty".... do you agree?
I find statements like that extremely pathetic.

Actually, I'll be 40 in a week.
I look better than I did when I was 30, but I wouldn't say that my 40 is a new 30.

There is nothing more pathetic than someone trying to act younger. Some people can do it naturally but when you see an old person trying to be cool, it's so uncool.

I don't know about that. Guys still seem to prefer the younger girls. I'm up there too (close to 40), and been single for too long. I think I've really just lost interest . I say it's more like 21 is the new thirty.

Why is that pathetic, if it's not hurting you , let people think what they want. Yes I do agree, people are much 'younger' at these ages than they were say 30 years ago, I also think teens are more immature than they were back then. They don't take responsibility for things much anymore.

Notice a new one comes out every 10 years.
20... then it's 30... 40 etc. etc.
It's the same people not wanting to grow old.

It can be.. but I'm 33 and people never believe it. I think what they mean when they say this.. is that our quality of life has improved drastically over the last 20 - 30 years. We live longer, healthier.. which in turn exudes youth.

yeah, that kind of talk makes no sense to me! 30 is thirty !! And trust me im 30 and I dont feel anything like i did when i was 20!!

I say those people are obviously fifty and wishing they were forty so then they could be thirty so then they could be twenty!

It isnt pathetic it is true all the people look younger every new generation,i'm 35 and i still get id'd for cigarrettes,my son is 18 and people think he is my big brother
