A walk in the park?

While taking a walk in the park by a small lake, you start skipping stones on the water. One stone you threw rather hard accidentally clips a duck & cuts its head off. Feathers are flapping and blood pumps from the ducks neck like a fire hose. You think nobody sees you but when opening your car door to leave, you see a park ranger staring at you funny. Do you confess or drive off like nothing happened?
