Did she specifically make the cake for him? If so, then yes thats inappropriate and not ok! If however he just brought home a piece of cake from the office to munch on later there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Dont stress.

You are getting way to excited over a piece of cake.Just because someone bakes her co-worker(s) A cake.Doesn't mean she is lusting after them.It means she likes to cook. When I was working I brought in cake, brownies,All sorts of baked goods. And none of my co-workers or their spouses had a problem. In fact, I had a lot of people ask me to teach them how to make the deserts. And I can tell you this much.It was all about the deserts and the joy of seeing my co-works enjoy them.It had nothing to do with being attracted to anyone of them.I have a gorgeous hubby at home and none of my co-workers could hold a candle to him.So before you go off on some trip.Maybe you should learn more about what is going on.And not just make assumptions about the person making the cake. For all you know the person that made the cake.Could be happily married or gay.Just because they baked a cake is no reason to assume they are home wrecker or something.

I think it would depend on his intentions. If he brought the cake home so that you could have some of it, I'd say it's probably harmless. You could ask why the cake was brought to the office, and what makes it so good. If he is obsessing about the cake, or the woman, than no it is not ok. You need to communicate your feelings to him.

Its only not OK if its
a) a picture cake of said baker with out clothing
b) he's not sharing
c) you're on a diet and have a sneaking suspicion that he's trying to get you off of it
d) he's on a diet
Who made the cake doesn't really matter. It was a piece, not a whole cake, so more likely than not, she didn't just bring it for him!!!

You are creating a problem where none exists. Would you rather he sneak around and eat the cake in the park? If he had anything to hide he would not have brought the cake home.
If however, he brings her home and wants a piece, you have a real problem.

Just a touch insecure, ain't ya? Look, people bring goodies into the office to share all the time. It's part of what helps make the work environment a little less stressful. My wife works; I'm disabled and retired - so I bake stuff for her to take in and share with her co-workers, male and female alike. I often hear that some guy goes home with any leftover cake or cookies my wife took to work that day. And my response is, I hope he enjoys it and shares it with his wife and kids if he has any. You, my dear, need to lighten up before you drive him away and into the arms of another woman!

I'm with Dodger ... Is there something more to it? Has she been flirting with only him & made the cake for HIM ? Do they have a history? Did he make a big deal about the cake? Just with what you have told us I cant find a problem with it unless you are overly jelouse. Think about it, Its just cake. Let him eat his cake, You serve him his whip cream ;)

Hey, cool it on the jealous thing. Its just a piece of cake, not a big deal. In the "true" adult world, men and women can be friends without anything more.
