There is obviously some damage done to it. Take it back to the store and see what's wrong or get a new one.

my ipod used to do that to you probly have a virus like i do do you use like lime wiire or some music this that doesn't cost money per song? if so it is probley a virus just star using itunes or take all the song off your ipod then put them back on

You probably downloaded this song from an unknown source. So it might be corrupt somehow. If you ripped it from a cd, Re-rip it.

Is it set to shuffle?
Perhaps the files are corrupted; can you play them from your iTunes Library? If they are damaged, you may need to delete them and reload them from the original CD or other source.

make sure that your ipod is not on shuffle and if that's not the problem then go to an apple store and have it checked out.
