He would be Blake Joseph, Jr. That would make you Blake Joseph, Sr. Should Blake Jr. have a son and name him Blake Joseph as well, he would be III, making you I and your son II.
Are you sufficiently confused yet?

It's your choice
Blake Joseph Jr
Blake Joseph II
Either way works.
I had a friend who named their child after the father by using his middle first name
Joseph Blake
Do you and your wife want him to be a Jr or II?
I think Joseph Blake is also a cool way of naming your son after you
Congratulations
Good luck

My brother is a Junior, I've never heard of The Second. My son has the first name of his father, and the first name is handed down from a while ago, but their middle names are all different. That way, there's no trying to explain to anyone that my son is Robert V as in fifth, because the middle names were always different.

Junior, the second sounds so tied together. I think Junior is a cool name to call him or you could just call him Blake Joseph.

technically you could name him whatever you want, either is fine. But most people use junior for a boy named after his father, you don't really start using the numbers until the 3rd. My brother is a sixth and we had a hell of a time explaining to the insurance company that VI was a roman numeral and not his name, his tricare card still says Dan Vi, so stay away from roman numerals, they just confuse people. I'd go with Junior.

Its up to you; both are appropriate. However, if you yourself were Blake Joseph II and were expecting Blake Joseph III, you would probably give him the nickname Junior to differentiate between the two of you, just as your parents probably would have done with you to keep you strait from your dad.

He would be Blake Joseph Jr. Unless you have some claim to royalty your not telling us about. My husband just brought up the point that you wouldn't refer to a person as the second unless there was a third
