You are what I would call "normal" and derive politcal beliefs from your own view of the world and what is reasonable and logical and rise above what talking heads on TV and disembodies voices on the radio tell you to think. Congratulations, you can think for yourself.
Now don't tell anyone or they'll try and convert you. :)

Let me analyze it one issue at a time for you. :)
You said: I believe that if someone is convicted of molesting a child, they should get life with no parole, ever.
Your stance (Liberal/conservative/centrist): DEFINITE conservative stance. Conservatives consider harming children to be among the ultimate crimes, an absolutely unforgivable offense and one that deserves life in prison.
You said: I believe taxes should be lower because so much money is wasted on pork barrel projects and if gov. had less money it would be forced to spend it more wisely and that tax returns should be one page and be completed in five minutes or less.
Your stance: You take a conservative stance on this issue, but I think you should probably educate yourself more on economics (that's not a jab or insult. Just a bit of friendly advice. :) ). History has shown that lowering taxes actually INCREASES revenues to the government. As people are able to keep more money in their pockets, they tend to spend more which results in taxes from those sales going to the government. If taxes are raised, people cut back and less money goes in to the government.
Anyway... Overall, conservatives feel that government size SHOULD be significantly reduced and taxes kept to a reasonably low level.
You said: Dependency on foreign oil is a national security issuse and should be treated that way by congress and the president.
Your stance: DEFINITE conservative stance. That's all there is to it. Liberals have opposed most of our attempts at researching alternative fuels, including nuclear and wind power, and opposed even temporary measures to increase drilling. Most, as far as I know, vest their hopes in ethanol and technologies that may not come along for years.
You said: All nonviolent drug offenders should be set free and drug addiction should be treated as a medical problem not a legal problem.
Your stance: This is a liberal stance. Liberals generally do not believe things like this require jail time and would rather treat the individuals involved, even if such treatment would not ultimately help them.
You said: Marijuana should be legal and treated like alcohol.
Your stance: Liberal. Honestly, I don't know that much about this debate, so I can't comment on it.
You said: Abortion should be legal, but government should do everything it can to lower the number. Including better education and contraceptives.
Your stance: Centrist. Conservatives believe in using the power of education (multiple forms) to drastically reduce the number of children slaughtered each year, but also believe that Abortion should be outlawed in all cases except where the life of the mother is in certain jeopardy.
Liberals do not believe the government should have any say in the matter and so support keeping Abortion legal. They generally do not care about the life of the child who is killed, only siting the "mother's rights".
Your stance falls between those two extremes.
You said: We should not sell weapons to any other country.
Your stance: CONSERVATIVE. Big time...
You said: We should pressure Israel at least somewhat to achieve middle east peace. We should treat all partys the same way at the peace table.
Your stance: Liberal. Liberals generally believe that all parties, including Al Queda and similar organizations can be met and negotiated with at a peace table. Some believe that Israel is the source of the problems in the middle east and so either want to pressure them or withdraw our support completely from them.
Overall: I'd have to place you in the center. You have some very conservative and some very liberal views, but overall you seem to fall in the middle of the political spectrum.

I can’t classify you. I’m a liberal and I agree with all of your positions. Right now, I especially like the tax suggestion because I just finished my taxes and Turbo Tax is printing out page after page of schedules and other forms, which is just ridiculous.
Perhaps differences may lie in what we think the government should spend money on, who should get the lower taxes, other aspects of foreign policy and approaches to guarding civil liberties, etc. It’s hard to tell. For instance, I also see our dependence on oil as a national security issue and the main reason for our current situation in Iraq. How we might address that issue may define the political differences.
