Well it rhymes so I guess it is a good name for a rapper. Eminem (M&M for Marshall Matthers rhymes as well). Rappers rhyme. It is what they do; like musical poets. It doesn't have to make complete sense but it has a connection to some purpose.
Come to think of it....
If you consider that rappers say "What's up Dawg?" then Bow Wow is probably as good as it gets.

Well there was also a group in the 80's called Bow Wow Wow, remember that song "I Want Candy". God that song sucks! Anyways don't hate, because there is no one out there with an original name.

when he was a kid it was little bow wow but now he;s 16 or 17 he;s just bow wow...you righe he could of came up with one better than that,,,,and his dad is a rapper also'maybe he;s wow bow,.,.
