Which mines are you looking for, holes in the ground or concealed explosive devices killing those who trip on them?

The oldest known mine in the archaeological record is the "Lion Cave" in Swaziland where the tribe men used to mine for red pigment. There are also the mines in south Africa of the beers mining for diamonds
