How justified would you like to look at it? Your question may be leading to removal of death penalties to criminals who have committed murder or heinous crime. As long as the offense goes beyond the rational thinking maybe it is justified to sentenced to death.
Life is sacred and you are asked to respect life in every way you can.
If you are thinking about abortion, that is something that has to be weighed carefully. Like unwanted babies that was done by two irresponsible people whether mature or not should not be condoned. Sexual urges cannot be an excuse of a thinking human no matter how natural it is irregardless of age. In both cases, a fetus has to be protected.
Medical reason that endanger lives shall be thought of seriously and considerably. Religion may have been playing great roles in protecting lives but somehow it should give medical science a room to consider the necessary step.

Not a simple question. If I could go back in time, I'd have no problem killing Hitler or Saddam or quite a few others. But, then again, I'd like to see some DNA before I qualify them as human.

Should we let child molesters, rapists, mass murderers live? Naaa

Those who don't hold life sacred shouldn't be covered under the "life is sacred" deal. You hurt my family....look out!

Well ... the same book that draws the conclusion that life is sacred also outlines the need for putting people to death ..... to keep its society clean.

Funny how though .... the new chapters in the new testament say to forgive those with transgresses. Only thing is ... the state still has the responsibility to punish people for crimes.

killing a person who wants to hurt innocents is certainly justified
1.you stop the innocents being harmed
2.you save the person from becoming a criminal and therfore it should be punished less and it will not change his personality so drastic
3. because you mentioned the word sacred this will count in heavens

...in our modern society with our laws and regulations...No... life is sacred and should be... In the Old Testament, God did, from time to time authorize the killing of people... read 1 Samuel, chapter 15. Today, we live under Gods grace. As we respect "thou shall do no murder"....

the only situation i can see myself in, that killing would become an option is if my children were being threatened.hence the reason behind my avatar.I can be a fierce mother bear if necessary.

Killing someone who molests, rapes, or kills a child is justified. The parents should be allowed to do unto the raping killer as that piece of useless crap has done to their child.
