I am a Christian and I personally do not see anything wrong with the concept; however, it is the 'nickname' that is offensive to me.

As for your question "Are we still a racist country?" YES, unfortunately this country is very racist.

What about the chocolate? What the Catholics have to do with racism? What's the problem with the chocolate and Jesus?

Nobody seems to have a problem with representations of Jesus made out of gold or silver, probably because the Bible says God loves rich people who can afford to have gold or silver statuettes and jewelry. But chocolate is too brown for some people's taste, especially racist religious people.

What's race got to do with it?
This is not a racist thing, it's about the public display of a crucified Jesus made out of chocolate, and this display features a naked Jesus rather than one in loin cloth.

It's utterly distasteful, pun intended.

Just be glad you are not in italy. We are one of the more tolerant countries in the world. Italians chant racist chants in soccer matches etc... This whole world is sick, but don't just diss the USA. We are really pioneers in truly combating racism

It's not because it was made of chocolate! It's because it was anatomically correct and did not have a loin cloth. But on a positive note at least the chocolate was a closer representation of how Jesus skin tone really looked!

There is no problem, but genetically it isn't true. Jesus was likely from the Genetic Haplogroup M9, and they are not dark skinned, although then can look very tanned....
