I just bought an iBook with a 30GB hard drive, and I bought a new hard drive for it which is a 5400 RPM 120GB, I have an external Hard drive case (USB) and I want to copy everything to that new hard drive, so I can just install it into my laptop, and start it up with out any problems and start OS X
Please help me!
Thanks

Put the new hard drive in the external case and plug in the USB cable. You may then need to reformat the new drive using Disk Utility. Install OS X on the new hard drive then copy over the files you want to keep from the old hard drive. Or use the free application Carbon Copy Cloner to copy the files and the OS to the new hard drive. You can get a copy of that program at http://www.macupdate.com Just put the name of the program in the search box. Finally switch out the old hard drive with the new one.

Plug in the hard drive and move everything over.

Open Window Explorer.
Right-click the file you wish to copy & chose "copy"
Go to where you want to put it & chose "paste".
