No rafting in Colorado right now - far too early! Try back in May for that!

Elizabeth is a rural town, so I assume you'll be with family there. Denver and Boulder have lots to do for every interest. Lots of clubs for 21-and-older. Museums and the Zoo. Shopping in Cherry Creek and the 16th Street Mall. If you can drive somewhere like Rocky Mountain National Park (which is open year-round despite what the answer below says), you'll see some the best mountain scenery in the world. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a short distance from downtown and very cool to see and hike around. Boulder is beautiful and great to walk around - Pearl St. Mall is the shopping/pedestrian area. Check out performances at the Boulder Theatre.

Whatever equals "havin a blast" to you can be found around here - go get it and congrats on your marriage!

I live in Denver just down the road from Elizabeth. There is still great spring skiing plus the snow is melting so now is great time to go rafting in the mountains (only 1 hour down the highway). I would pick rafting if you are not a skier or heck...do both. Rafting is a blast right now because the water is really moving. Have fun and congrats on your marriage.

Come to Estes Park, just about 30 miles from Boulder. It's friggin beautiful here. The Rocky mountain national park isn't open yet but there are wonderfl places to visit and you may get to get a room at the Stanley Hotel (the hotel from the Movie The Shining) for about 150 bucks a night. There are lots of things to do here. Heck, just the drive up the pass from Boulder to Estes is amazing.

If you like to party, Pearl Street in Boulder is where you need to go.
