You want to wait until Milo (I think his name was) takes over Chudley's store, that will drop the price of the Magic Armor to only 600 rupees. To get him to take over the store, just donate the money asked at his shop in Kakariko. He should then be at the store in Hyrule Castle Town. To get the 600 rupees, just go to Agatha's castle and give her some golden bugs. If you have already given her all of her golden bugs, you can find rupees in the Kakariko Chapel. Shoot a bomb-arrow at the bell and a silver rupee should fall. (200). As far as I know that only works once though. You can also find treasure chests all around hyrule with rupees ranging from 20-200. (I may be wrong on the amounts). A good dig spot though is Death Mountain. Next to the elevator there should be 5 dig spots. They constantly reappear and almost always have blue and yellow rupees.

Hope this helped.

Get the $20-ish dollar code DVD at your local games shop, you can have all of the stuff. I got it for my second run-through and it's COOL!

If you're looking at the 1st price of the armor, before the shop changes hands to the little punk kid (can't remember his name) DON'T buy yet... otherwise after the shop changes hands (after Kakariko village if I remember correctly) you can buy it at a logical price. Finding all the bugs and giving them to the princess in the castle village is the fastest way I know of... 50 rupees for the bug and 100 more for the bug's "mate".

Hope this helps some... check out the PDF online guides too... they're cool.

Have you been collecting golden bugs and giving them to Agitha? Each bug is worth 50 rupees, and you get an extra 50 rupees if you give Agitha a bug that "couples" with another bug. So for each pair of bugs, you get 150 rupees!

Look around for treasure chests. There are more 100 rupee treasure chests than meets the eye.

Also, try revisiting dungeons that you've already cleared. Look on your map for unopened treasure chests.

And if you didn't know: Link has 50 rupees in his basement. :-)
