German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, known most widely for the declaration "God is dead. wrote it.

O man! Take heed!
What saith deep midnight's voice indeed?
I slept my sleep—
From deepest dream I've woke and plead:—
The world is deep,
And deeper than the day could read.
Deep is its woe—
Joy—deeper still than grief can be:
Woe saith: Hence! Go!
But joys all want eternity—
Want deep profound eternity

As in "Thus spake Zarathustra"? Friedrich Nietzsche...whom i got expelled in school for reading when I was supposed to be reading The House of Seven Gables. How could he blame God if he denied his existence?.....oh well, you can feel him slowly going insane as you read farther and farther into his writings. Brilliant, tho! :oP
