Really an unfair question but among asians we tend to say that koreans have the less fortunate looks. This is coming from the asian elders so it's somewhat accurate. From prettiest to less, it goes: thai, vietnamese, chinese, japanese, then korean. I guess the eyes might have something to do with it but I'm not sure. The bigger the eyes the better I guess.
But koreans are known for being most unfortunate looking in asia and people usually joke that they are pretty big in the plastic surgery movement. Japanese people look the oddest and their facial structure tends to be slanted. Chinese people are also said to be unforunate looking but the many chinese actors and actresses outshine all. They have the pure look of asians which might be the reason why they don't look special in asia. Vietnamese people are really conscious about the way they look and they try the most natural way to get beauty, i.e. wrapping themselves in scarves every day to avoid dust clogging their faces. Most, not all, do not have small eyes which might be the reason why they stand out amongst other asians. Thai people have unique looks too. They also stand out from the typical asian stereotypes of asians having small eyes and frontial face structures and they tend to take care of their body a lot.

Ahh one of my favorite questions..
On average Japanese are the best looking.. but...
The best looking Chinese women are drop dead gorgeous.. they have a lot of cows though. Not sure I've ever even seen an ugly Japanese woman. Yoko Oko excepted.
Koreans are below that
Then Thai
Vietnamese are a real grab bag like the Chinese.. some gorgeous ones, and a whole lot of fuglys..

Pinays and Indos....but if I pick from your list, then I'd pick in this order: Thai --> Korean --> Vietnamese --> Japanese --> Chinese

They look almost same :)) I'm Vietnamese, but some people said that I'm look alike Chinese, but some said I'm look like Korean. Japanese and Korean look the same, in my opinion. I think Thai is the most different. it doesn't mean that Thai people don't look like others, but they have different peculiar. Every country has different peculiarities. :))

I think beauty is personal, and you will find pretty people everywhere. A good looking person is not pretty or beautiful.
In my opinion people get pretty/beautiful when they show their inner selves and it is appealing to me.
