NFL players are unskilled and unfit? that's why nfl players that wash out go to canada where it's easier to get on a team, right? The NFL is for the best football players in the world. Then you have the NFL Europa, then the CFL, then the AFL (arena football league). There's also a lot of tradition in the NFL. Although my team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, is only a mere 74 years old, they have a huge and loyal fan base of Pittsburgh natives living around the country. If you people are trying to tell me that the NFL has no tradition (like maybe the Super Bowl?), you're ignorant. Stop listening to all the hype. Yes, the majority of the NFL is a bunch of overpaid prima donnas, but it also has players that work hard and a good side that you're too busy watching the idiots on ESPN and complaining to notice. I personally have never seen a CFL game, so I can't with fairness say anything about it. Just don't put down the NFL because you prefer the CFL for whatever reason. I'm sick of all you people constantly putting down america because you think we're all like your stupid stereotypes. 51% of the country voted against Bush in 2000. The NFL is our league, the CFL is yours. In America, the NFL is king, and we don't give a sh!t about canada.

Unlike American football, which only allows eleven men to be on the field, Canadian football requires twelve men to be on the field and only gives three chances to receive a first down. Canadian football is also more fast-paced than American football, because it allows only twenty-seconds between each play while American football allows forty-five seconds.

Although sometimes named as a spin-off of American football, Canadian football has its own rules, own field and own players. Its rich history has characterized the game as unique and it will be a fan favorite for many years to come.
