Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't gun control being able to accurately hit your target? Why would you want to ban that?

There is an interesting article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune today talking about the effects of Minnesota's conceal and carry law. About four years ago, Minnesota passed a law where anyone that pays a fee, takes gun safety training, and passes a background check is eligible to get a conceal and carry permit. Of course, gun control advocates said crime would sky rocket because of all these new weapons on the street. Gun rights advocates claimed crime would decrease as a result of conceal and carry. The Star Tribune concludes that there has been no effect on the crime rate in the state as a result of an increased number of legal concealed weapons.

No it is not. Every person coming into our country has their own weaponry and they are using it against the U S of A. No we should not be armed to the teeth but we should be allowed to own some weapons. I think if we had the decision of carrying or not there probably would not be as many crimes. I know there are some of you out there that think if we carry any kind of weapon we will shoot first ask questions later. Look at the states that have the law that they can carry arms their crime rate is not any higher.

Gun control laws don't really do any good anyway, other than limiting what kinds are legal/illegal. All they do is make the law abiding people that enjoy sport and want self defense wait a few days. If a criminal wants to get their hands on a gun, they're going to do it, regardless of the laws.

It's not a question of whether it is beneficial, it's a question of who it is beneficial to.

For example, burglars probably see the benefit of knowing there's a smaller likelihood of getting shot while conducting their trade.

Battered wives probably appreciate the benefit of knowing they won't be shot to death by angry husbands, but instead carved up with an innocuous and harmless kitchen knife.

No! Wait, huh? Banning gun control? So, are you for or against gun control? How do you ban gun control, it's an idea?

We don't need gun control. How's that for an answer?
